My New Greek Life
Tuesday 10pm, Channel 5
Expat Charley works a demanding first shift in a Corfu hotel. Later, she takes a trip to the market, where she hopes to practice her Greek with the locals.
Elsewhere a couple who have recently arrived on this island are finding it difficult to settle in as they anxiously await the arrival of their first child.
Over in Crete, Laura reveals her past life as a champion bodybuilder and talks about the medical condition that causes her all over body pain.
Wednesday, 9pm, BBC One
This is just episode 2 in the new series so we are justs tarting to meet the amateur chefs hoping to impress the judges Gregg Wallace and John Torode.
Tonight the next 6 contestants present a dish they have created themselves with the best two getting put through. The 4 other chefs will be asked to cook again in a challenge with just three ingredients, chili, squid, and courgette.
Saving Lives at Sea
Wednesday, 8pm – BBC 2
This moving show follows the efforts of the lifeboat team as they try to save people in trouble at sea. 15-year-old Archie jumped from the harbor wall into the sea but didn’t count on being caught by a rip current. His friend jumped in to try and help and both were swept out to sea.
The RNLI are able to rescue the boys using a helicopter winch. Other stories on tonight’s show feature the volunteers’ race to the rescue a shark attack victim plus the hunt for a kayaker missing after a race with eight lifeboats and two helicopters conducting the search.
Live Snooker: Players Championship
Thursday 6:45pm – 10:30pm ITV4
Ronnie O’Sullivan continued his bid to retain his title at this stage last year. Tonight its the third quarter-final to find out who will make it into the last four. The coverage comes from the Waterfront in Southport, where its the first player to six frames that will progress, including analysis by Stephen Hendry and Alan McManus.
Ben Fogle: Make a New Life in the Country
Tuesday 9pm – 10pm Channel 5
Ex-Londer leaves capital and moves to the countryside. It’s a familiar story on many documentaries following the journey from city life to the country idyll.
Tonight Cara tries to get as far away from London as possible by moving to a farm in John o’Groats.
As a former nanny with no experience of farming it seems like a big step as she shares her new home with goats, sheep, donkeys, rabbits, and chickens in the harsh weather of the remote region. Ben comes to meet her and helps stock up the farm shop.
Friday 9pm – 11:35pm ITV2
A brilliant cast and the successful comedy director Judd Apatow meant this was always likely to be a hit. The film takes us on a hilarious journey through the intense and demanding bride-to-be culture.
The plot follows a forever single Kristen Wiig as she agrees to be a bridesmaid for her best friend Maya Rudolph. But their friendship hits troubled waters as a newcomer tries to take the role of chief bridesmaid. Wiig tries to get her best friend back with the help of the crew of bridesmaids.
Saturday 9pm – 11:05pm Channel 4
The proven dream team of Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson pair up again in this smart comedy about former classmates that delivers a strong anti-bullying message.
Kevin Hart plays an accountant who meets up with a former school outcast, who now works in the intelligence service. He’s enticed onto a special mission and soon finds out he’s way out of his depth.
Hart delivers as the fast-talking comedian but Johnson is just as funny.
Match of the Day
Saturday 10:20pm – 11:40pm
The popular football highlights show is hosted by Gary Lineker tonight, as the pundits give their views on the top Premier League fixtures. Includes highlights of Watford v Liverpool, as the runaway league leaders only need 4 more wins to claim their first league title in 30 years. Watford, in contrast, are second bottom in the league and need to get points fast to avoid relegation.
Other fixtures include Brighton & Hove Albion v Crystal Palace, West Ham United v Southampton, Bournemouth v Chelsea, and Newcastle United v Burnley.
Win the Wilderness: Alaska
Sunday 9pm – 10pm BBC Two
This is the last episode in the series and there are two couples remaining.
They first visit the empty property to understand what their new life will really be like before owners Duane and Rena arrive and set two final challenges. The couples are tasked to set up a new windsock on the airstrip, while the other is asked to cut windows into the loft.
Before picking who will take over their home and live in the wilderness of Alaska, Duane and Rena ask each couple to pitch why they want to live in the region.
