Porridge – BBC One, 21:30 

Porridge is one of the most successful BBC’s classic sitcom revivals and it comes back with a second season. For all of the fans of the old Porridge, this one is a must see. In this week’s episode, prison’s bad boy Dougie Parfitt expects a favour and the arrival of the new prison offices on the block spells trouble for Fletch and his fellow inmates.



Devil’s Advocate – ITV4, 23:45

A masterpiece. This stunning thriller will keep you glued to the chair. As always, the intense Al Pacino, a master of passion in movies, and Keanu Reeves, a young lawyer searching for glory will make you think about some of your deeper wishes and how they can reflect in your life. The Devil’s Advocate is one of those movies where you don’t blink. The story lures you inside of the young lawyer and the cunning Devil.

Gladiator – Film4 – 23:15

This is one of those movies that carry a strong emotion within. You can’t watch this movie and remain unaffected by it. Highly recommended. Gladiator radiates nobility, strength, friendship and loyalty. The main character portrays a true hero, someone whom our kids shall hopefully use as a role model.

Strictly Come Dancing –  BBC One, 18:35
Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman host as the 13 remaining couples once again take to the stage to demonstrate whether another week of training has paid off. Head judge Shirley Ballas and her fellow panellists Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood are on hand to deliver their expert opinions on the stars’ performances. At the end of the show, voting lines are opened for members of the public to have their say on the evening’s routines, with the results being combined with the judges’ scores in the next edition to determine which competitors will be going head-to-head in the dance-off.

The X Factor: Six Chair Challenge – ITV, 20:15

It’s the midway point of the dreaded Six Chair Challenge phase of the contest and the performers take to the stage individually to win a place on one of the six seats on the stage. That is not all. Even if a performer claims a chair, judges Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and Sharon Osbourne have the right to evict them should a better contestant arrive.


Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies – ITV2, 19:35 

The king of Dwarfs, Thorin, reclaims the control of his homeland. The dragon is dead, but a much more fearful danger is approaching.




Hunger Games – Film4, 17:15

Hunger Games talks about a futuristic world where for the sake of peace and stability, each year, children from different districts fight till death on the National Television. This is a critique of the today’s Live Television and where can it go wrong. This is a great movie that makes you think in which direction is the world going, is the society truly progressing or are we fooling ourselves?


Titanic – Film4, 13;30

A famous love story that touched the world. This movie shows the true power of love, and love has no boundaries and can’t be held back by any forces, not even death can conquer it. Starring Kate Blanchett and Leonardo di Caprio. Probably around 99% of people cry during this movie, and the ones that don’t are probably lying. The movie is based on a true story about the most famous shipwreck that ever happened. The energy of love breaks all boundaries as the famous lovers cast their shackles away.

The Last Post

The Last Post – BBC One, 21:00

In the new episode, Christmas comes to Aden. The RMP receive welcome news as the romance between Armstrong and Yusra is blossoming. Markham fears that the photographs taken by Martha could cause a scandal. He sends Joe to retrieve them but Joe falls in love. Alison is revealed by Ed that he knows her secret.


The X Factor: Six Chair Challenge – ITV, 18:00

Dermot O’Leary hosts the conclusion of this stage. Judges must make their final decisions on who is going to pass to the last stage. Judges can change their mind until the very end so things are sure going to be quite intense.

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results – BBC One, 18:15

Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reveal the final contestants. The two unsuccessful couples go to a dance-off. The winner gets to stay.

Match of the Day – BBC One, 21:30

It’s time for Mark Chapman to review the latest Premier League matches.
