The Voice UK. (ITV1)

The Voice UK is a British singing reality TV show in which amateur singers perform in front of celebrity coaches and a live audience. Each coach has the power to “turn their chair” when they hear someone they want to represent, and the contestants must decide which coach they want before moving on to the next round. The Apprentice UK. (BBC One)

The Apprentice is a British business-styled reality TV show that follows 15 candidates competing to work for the renowned Sir Alan Sugar. Split into two teams, the candidates have to complete a series of tasks that test their business acumen and teamwork. At the end of each episode, one person from each team is fired. The winner of The Apprentice receives a £220,000 investment into their business and a 20/20 partnership with Alan Sugar.

Embarrassing Bodies is a British BAFTA Award-winning medical reality TV show featuring a team of doctors and nurses looking to help patients with unusual ailments. The only way is Essex. (ITV)

The only way is Essex (TOWIE) is a British scripted reality television series that follows the daily lives of a group of twenty-something friends living it up in Essex. The show began airing on ITV2 in 2009, and The show has had a number of spin-offs, including The After Party and The Only Way Is Marbs. Made in Chelsea. (Channel 4)

Made in Chelsea is a British reality television series that follows the lives of young, wealthy people living in London’s affluent West End and their travels abroad. It was first broadcast in May 2010 before becoming a regular series in August of that year. The show has had several spin-offs, including Made in Chelsea LA and Made in Chelsea NY.

Love Island UK. (ITV)

Love Island is a British reality dating show, first broadcast in June 2017. It was developed by ITV2, based on the Spanish series of the same name. The show follows a group of young singles, known as “islanders”, who live together in a villa isolated from the outside world. In order to stand a chance of winning, the singletons must ‘couple up’. Anyone who is not in a couple will be forced to leave.. At the end of each week, someone leaves Love Island until there are two people left, who each win £20,000 prize money.

Geordie Shore. (Channel 5)

Geordie Shore is a British reality television series originally broadcast on MTV. It is the UK version of the American show Jersey Shore, which follows the daily lives of eight to twelve housemates living in Newcastle, England as they live, party and get into trouble together. The show was first broadcast in 2011 and has since been followed by seven further seasons.
